Time can pass slowly to a sick child in the hospital. Your family can make the hospital stay brighter by bringing your favorite books to read to him/her.

Steps:
Call the pediatric ward at the hospital to see if there are any children who seem lonely. Make sure you ask if there is any infectious disease on the floor. When you are reading, make sure you show all the pictures, read slowly and pronounce the words clearly, add drama whenever you can and leave the book with the child until the next time you come if that is appropriate. If you have enough time, make a picture with the child. You can draw a picture together that describes what you have just read.
