When someone is sick in the hospital, life can see very down and lonely. Laughter is the best medicine for dreary times. Put together your funniest sayings, jokes, riddles and pictures into a book.

Time Required:
2 to 6 hours

Materials Needed:
Blank paper and colorful paper for the cover, Markers or the use of a computer , Cardboard, String

Steps:
Gather the family for a brainstorming meeting of favorite jokes, riddles and sayings. Have one person be the recorder. Copy all of your ideas onto sheets that you can bind together as a book. If you have access to a computer, you can use various fonts and borders on each page. Cut out 2 pieces of cardboard to the appropriate size of your paper to serve as your cover and back of your book. Decorate it with bright colored paper or use markers to make a silly design. If you have created the Giggle Book on the computer, print out a handful of them that you can give out.

Special Consideration:
Don't stay long in each room. People are usually in the hospital for rest. Also, be understanding of the audience's needs, make sure they want to be entertained.
