FamilyCares - Words for the Wounded

Your family can support our wounded troops who are hospitalized and receiving treatment in America with encouraging cards, letters, drawings and international phone cards.

Over 20,000 service personnel have been wounded since 2003.  FamilyCares - Words for the Wounded encourages your family to write letters and cards, and draw pictures to send to those wounded, who are being treated at your local veterans’ hospital or for soldiers in the Fisher House ™ program, at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.

The Fisher House Program enables family members to be close to loved ones being treated at major military and VA medical centers by staying at homes built on the grounds.  The program serves more than 8,500 families.   To find a Fisher House in your state go to http://www.fisherhouse.org  or mail encouraging letters, Get Well cards, and drawings to:
